Speedwatch

Following the events of January 25th Cambs Police are focusing on Manea and they are keen to support us with getting our Speedwatch group running again.

Speeding in our village is something which is a constant problem, and it is one we can do something about ourselves. A few hours a month with small groups of volunteers can make a big difference. As well as slowing down traffic the data gathered by Speedwatch sessions and the fixed flashing speed signs is invaluable in supporting bids for highways funding towards road safety improvement schemes in our village.

Full training will be given and the Parish Council has allocated funding for two new fixed speed signs in the 25-26 budget to support this initiative.

If you’re interested in volunteering to help with Speedwatch please get in touch with Cllr Nick Usher (nusher@manea-pc.gov.uk).
